Hoy es el Día Internacional del Libro
El 23 de Abril se celebra en gran cantidad de países el día Internacional del Libro, con el objetivo de fomentar la lectura, la industria editorial y la propiedad intelectual. La elección de esta fecha no es casual, ya que fue también un 23 de Abril el fallecimiento de escritores de la talla de Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespeare o el cronista Garcilaso de la Vega, y los tres traspasaron la barrera del idioma…
Y como si esto fuera poco, también un 23 de abril nacieron y murieron otros gloriosos e ilustres escritores, como Maurice Druon (francés), K. Laxness, Premio Nobel (irlandesa); Manuel Mejía Vallejo (colombiano); Vladimir Nabokov (ruso), y el español Josep Pla, entre otros.
Es una fecha que goza de gran popularidad y nos recuerda la importancia de esos fieles compañeros. Es importante invitar a todos – especialmente a los más jóvenes – a descubrir el placer de la lectura y respetar la irremplazable contribución de los creadores al progreso social y cultural, base de cada 23 de abril.
Una vez instaurada la fecha, arraigó rápidamente, especialmente en Barcelona y toda Cataluña. El propósito inicial se diluyo poco a poco ya que en esta fecha se conmemora el día de San Jorge (Diada de Sant Jordi). Con el paso del tiempo se hizo tradicional en Cataluña el intercambio entre los seres queridos de rosas y libros.
Por eso y por mucho mas, el día 23 abre la puerta a un universo mágico, irrepetible y distinto para cada uno, abre un libro.

Hi. this is kind of an “unconventional” question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I am very new to all of this …so i am just not positive exactly how to try to to it all yet. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time.

Pues sí Anrafera, sobretodo nuestra juventud deberia leer muuucho mas que con las maquinitas estan perdiendo toda costumbre.
